Lampton Services Commercial Waste Team Celebrates Second Anniversary

As its Commercial Recycling and Waste Collection team marks its second anniversary, Lampton Services is celebrating its success in supporting Hounslow-based businesses to reduce their carbon impact. Surpassing 1,000 tonnes of waste diverted from landfill this year, Lampton Services’ Commercial Waste provides local businesses with access to an efficient, high-quality waste management solution.  

Since launching in July 2022, Lampton Services’ Commercial Waste offering has scaled rapidly, servicing businesses including Hounslow House, the borough’s libraries, leisure centres, local retailers, beauty studios and restaurants. Meanwhile, the service has nearly quadrupled its number of collection points, improving access to its extensive collection service which includes food waste collection, dry mixed recycling, cardboard recycling, glass recycling and general waste.  

Councillor Shivraj Grewal, Hounslow’s Cabinet Member for Infrastructure, Recycling and Transformation, who recently visited the Lampton Services recycling centre, said: “This is a remarkable achievement for Lampton Services’ Commercial Recycling and Waste Collection team as they celebrate their second anniversary. By providing an efficient and high-quality waste management solution, Lampton Services is not only helping businesses thrive but also playing a crucial role in our borough’s efforts to create a greener, more sustainable future.”

Lampton Services Commercial Waste delivers an innovative, flexible and localised solution for the waste and recycling challenges facing Hounslow’s business community. By also providing support and education to local businesses to ensure they divert waste correctly, the Commercial Waste team helps businesses to achieve greater emission reductions.  

The Commercial Waste function sits within Lampton Services’ Recycle team which was recently shortlisted in the APSE Service Awards 2024 for the Best Service Team: Waste, Recycling and Streetscene category.
